Synchronicity, Meaning & the Nature of Coincidence

This project will explore the relationship between Jung's theory of 'meaningful coincidence' or synchronicity and how it may be experienced through dreams, symbolism and daily life.

Format:

A web page to link from my main site including a Flash Animation designed to draw in the viewer with an example of what synchronicity is. The flash animation will act as an introduction to a lengthier discussion that will include hyper links, anecdotes in story form and references to mythology, shamanism and other archetypal symbols. Links to references and full version of text on .pdf for easy printing included.

Audience:

This project is geared toward those searching for introductory information on the topic of 'meaningful coincidence' with links for students and professionals looking for further resources.

Design:

The design will take into account usability, aesthetics, readability, navigation and include visual, auditory and interactive aspects.

Time line:

September 15 -- Begin Research!
September 29 -- One Page Concept Proposal Due
October 05 -- Project Proposal Due
October 13 -- Draft of Written Material
October 20 -- Flash Animation Complete
October 27 -- Web Design Underway
November 03 -- References and printable .pdf Complete
November 10 -- Upload and De-bug
November 17 -- Final edit of html, css and text
November 24 --Submit final Project
